Step up to the 2011 ITI-AANP STAIRSM Residency Program Experience.
Integrative Therapeutics, Inc (ITI) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) are proud to support hands-on knowledge that helps shape the future of naturopathic medicine. Now in its fourth year, ITI and AANP are teaming up to select two practices and two naturopathic graduates (within one year) for a truly unique residency experience in 2011.
PRACTITIONERS:
Interested in a free highly qualified ND resident?
We select residency sites from all highly successful ND and integrative MD practices, likes yours, interested in retaining a naturopathic resident for free. You become the mentor, we provide a scholarship to one lucky graduate for a full year residency in your practice!
Qualified sites must:
-Practice in a successful integrative medical practice with both an ND and MD on staff
— OR —
-Be an ND who practices in partnership with an MD within a 30 mile radius

*The STAIRSM Program is CNME accredited and monitored residency through Bastyr University.

Once the residency sites have been selected the student recruitment begins.The two most highly qualified naturopathic graduates will receive a scholarship to practice in one of the two sites awarded for an invaluable learning experience. Each resident will participate in the whole spectrum of clinic life, from patient care to the daily financial workings of the practice – a complete, well rounded, real-world experience.
*Final residency locations will be announced in November 2010 – check back for details.

2010 ITI-AANP STAIRSM Residency Winners
Meet the recipients of two fully paid scholarships for a year-long residency at integrative clinics practicing complementary and naturopathic medicine!
We are pleased to announce our 2010 resident winners:
 Corinne Sell will be graduating from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. She has experience providing naturopathic care in Mexico and Kenya and has a background in allopathic medicine as well. Corinne’s residency will take place at NatureMed Clinic, LLC in Boulder, Colorado under the guidance of Stephen W. Parcell, ND and Fran Mason, MD. This is an integrated clinic with training in Western, Eastern, alternative, complementary, and holistic medicine.

 Kelly Simms will earn her naturopathic doctorate from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. She considers her life to be a great adventure having traveled widely in Southeast Asia, which led to her decision to become a physician. She also led efforts in Alaska, her home state, to push for a health care act aimed toward helping Native Americans.
Kelly will spend her residency time at Integrative Family Wellness Center located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. She will practice under Michele Nickels, NMD and Bozena Simon, MD, combining family practice, chiropractic care, internal medicine, acupuncture and naturopathic medicine.
