As a specialist in fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), he founded and is Medical Director of the Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Research Center and is also the Medical Director of the Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Centers nationally.
