For Immediate Release:
Dr. Tori Hudson to Present on D-Ribose
Noted naturopathic physician highlights the wide range of therapeutic applications of D-Ribose in teleconferences throughout the month of February.
GREEN BAY, WI (January 28, 2010) Naturopathic physician, Dr. Tori Hudson will be giving a presentation via teleconference to healthcare practitioners on D-Ribose: Critical Component for Cellular Energy Generation on February 4th at 7pm CST., additional presentation dates are also available. All teleconferences are sponsored by Integrative Therapeutics, Inc., see website to register or for more details http://www.integrativeinc.com/Education/Events.aspx.
D-Ribose is a naturally occurring five-carbon sugar present in all living cells. As a key building block for adenosine triphosphate (ATP), D-ribose is rate limiting in energy production.
Intracellular hypoxia associated with stress, infections, hormonal deficiencies, and poor nutrition has been shown to deplete ATP levels within the cells. Research has shown the debilitating symptoms of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and many cardiovascular diseases are related to ATP deficiency. Only when energy is restored can normal cellular function be regained. Dr. Hudson will discuss the wide range of therapeutic applications for D-ribose and how it can be successfully integrated in your practice.
Learning objectives for the teleconferences are:
1. Introduce ribose; understand its role in cellular energy production.
2. Review the biochemical pathways that drive cellular energy (ATP) production in the body.
3. Discuss the causes and consequences of metabolic breakdown associated with intracellular hypoxia.
4. Review relevant research regarding the therapeutic applications of ribose.
